Nothing real profound or deep.... but I can so identify with the apostle Paul today. Apparently, Paul was more powerful as a letter-writer than he was as a speaker. In 2 Cor. 10.10, we read that Paul’s opponents have made the charge, For some say, "His letters are weighty and forceful, but in person he is unimpressive and his speaking amounts to nothing."

Ouch!

I can write a knock-out e-mail, but I can get tongue-tied when I'm excited--or nervous--to share it verbally! Shocked

PostSubject: Paul for me too!   Thu Aug 28, 2008 10:27 am

Hi there.

This past weekend Pastor Bill was talking about Paul and how he finished the race well. He didn't back away and become a hermit when things got tough. What I got out of that is that Paul wasn't listening to his "feelings" which were saying, "Run, run! No one appreciates you! Get out of here. Protect yourself! Life is simpler at home!" [my own interpretation].

Holy conviction batman. Thats all I've been doing the past 6 months is listening to my feelings. Being an introvert, I could run away to Borneo never to be seen again and be perfectly fine. By the way, Borneo is really close to the fringes of Kaukauna.

Anywho. Lord help me. The book "Emotionally Healthy Spirituality" was recommended to me. Sheesh.
